The FulMont Nurses Honor Guard (FMNHG) was founded in February 2024 by Jessica Chichester, with the help of a member from the Otsego-Schoharie-Delaware NHG Chapter. We are a group of volunteer nurses (RNs, APNs, Midwives, and LPNs) who honor nurses for their dedicated service to the nursing profession during their funeral/graveside or celebration of life services in Fulton and Montgomery Counties. Additionally, we will soon be starting to honor nurses who are in hospice or long-term care facilities nearing the end of life with a Living Tribute ceremony.
Our ceremonies are similar to a military tribute. We dress in nurses traditional white uniform, cap, and capes (men do not need to wear cap or cape) performing the Nightingale Tribute and Final Call to Duty for nurses at their funerals or during the Living Tribute Ceremony, honoring nurses near the end of life.
For more information on performing a tribute or on becoming a member, you can contact us via email at fulmontnurseshonorguard@yahoo.com.
The FulMont Nurses Honor Guard mailing address is PO Box 1, Mayfield, NY 12117.
